Planting
March to June, 24″/60cm apart and 6″/15cm Deep
Soil/Position
Sunny. Any garden soil with a good supply of humus. Digging the soil before planting is recommended.
Expert advice
For early flowering tubers may be started off in boxes from March onwards; use light soil mixed with peat, keep it slightly moist. Keep boxes cool and free of frost and plant sprouted tubers when danger of frost has passed. Keep plants well watered during growth and remove faded flowers.
