Galanthus Snowdrops
Application
Flowering for several years in lawns, woodland, rockeries, borders, between paving stones and in tubs on terrace and balcony. They look particularly attractive in a ‘winter corner’ close to the house, in combination with e.g. Anemone blanda, Eranthis, Chionodoxa, Iris reticulata and Iris danfordiae.
Planting
September – December., 2″/5 cm apart and 2″/5 cm deep
Soil/Position
Prefers partial shade but will also grow in full sun. Moisture-retentive, prefers heavy soils like clay and humus-rich sandy soil.
Expert advice
Hardy in all areas. Top dressing of bonemeal each autumn improves flowering result.
