Soil/Position
Prefers sunny places. A poor calcareous sandy soil, well-drained, especially in winter.
Expert advice
It is best to mix the planting soil with gravel and pieces of limestone. Loves moisture in spring. Dislikes transplanting. Winterprotection: A light cover with e.g. straw or branches of firtrees.
